Faculty of Law and Political Sciences

The faculty of Law and Political Sciences is one of the fifteen faculties of Kharazmi University that was separated from the Faculty of Literature and Humanities in 2015 and was established in Tehran after the board of trustees' approval. It has five departments of Islamic Law and Criminal Law, Private Law, International Law, Political Sciences, and International Relations, some of which were founded in 1995. Currently, around 1000 students are following courses in the faculty for a Bachelor's degree (Islamic Law and Basics of Islamic Law and Political Sciences), Master's degree (Private Law, International Law, Political Sciences, and International relations), and Ph.D. (Islamic Law and Criminal Law, Private Law, and International Relations) with 32 full-time faculty members including one full professor, 9 associate professors and 22 assistant professors that guide the academic activities of this faculty. In line with the development of interdisciplinary activities, this faculty is establishing the fields of Regional Studies, International and Political Economy, Oil and Gas Law, and Economic Commercial law.
