Mohammad-Ali Rajai (1933-1981), the second president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, studied at the university from 1956 to 1959.

Dr. Gholam-Hossein Mosaheb (1910-1979), prominent Iranian mathematician and logician and founder of Mosaheb Institute of Mathematics and director of the Institute at the university from 1972 to 1974.

Dr. Abdolazim Gharib (1879-1965), eminent Iranian man of letters and founder of the modern Persian grammar, was a professor of Persian literature at Danesh-saraye-ali in the 1930s.

Parvin E'tesami (1907-1941), outstanding Persian poet, worked for several months at the library of Danesh-saraye-ali in the late 1930s.
