Kharazmi University is the first Higher Education Institute in Iran, established around 1919 in Tehran. After more than 100 years of commitment and inspiration, now, with 15 faculties, almost 800 faculty members and 14000 students it is among the 15 pioneered universities in Iran.
Kharazmi University Electronic and Open Learning Center was founded in 2014 to serve as the university electronic and open learning center (EOLC).
The EOLC is responsible for electronic learning as well as planning and organizing specific short and long-term training courses for the off-campus clients. Also, it holds workshops and specialized seminars tailored to the needs of the community and company’s staff and agencies. In addition, within the framework of educational contracts, it plays the role of an open university for informal courses and continuous education.
Since 2014, the EOLC has been at play in holding virtual Master's Degree courses. Since then, the EOLC at Kharazmi University based on brilliant background and using skillful and active professors and staff has approached to hold educational courses with three strands of formal-university courses (virtual MA program), academic combinatorial courses (MBA and DBA), as well as short-term specialty courses for governmental and non-governmental organizations.
EOLC Targets
  • Help to raise the level of knowledge and skills in the community .
  • Creating a good atmosphere to increase the accessibility to higher education through e-learning systems.
  • Expanding and developing practical knowledge in various fields for the community.
  • Providing continuous training to graduates of universities and managers and staff of governmental and non-governmental organizations and administrations.
  • Transforming traditional education and shifting towards new education through the application of new technologies in education.
  • Offering specialized workshops and seminars tailored to the needs of the community.
  • Holding mutual agreements and contracts with educational departments, organizations and institutions to impower human resources.
