S. R. Shafi'ei (b. 1978, Tehran) completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering at Urmia University. He later chose, however, to pursue his interests in the Qur’anic and Hadith Studies. Accordingly, he earned his MA at Allama Tabataba’i University and, immediately thereafter, was admitted to the PhD program in the Comparative Qur’anic Exegesis at the University of Qom, under the special admission privileges granted to talented students. In February 2020, he joined Kharazmi University as a visiting lecturer, beginning his collaboration with the Department of Qur’anic and Hadith Studies, as well as the Philosophy Department. In 2024, Shafi'ei was officially appointed as a full-time Assistant Professor there. Being an Iranian scholar of Islam who takes pride in serving upon the sacred soil of his beloved country, he actively engages with international academic communities, contributing directly to some cross-border research projects.
