Sirus Sharifi is a faculty member at the Faculty of Management, Kharazmi University, Tehran. He teaches courses in insurance, banking, and finance. He earned his Ph.D. in finance from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India, where he also completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship.
His research interests focuse on enterprise risk management in banking and insurance institutions, with particular interest in financial innovation, including fintech and insurtech, financial regulation, and corporate governance. His previous work has examined issues such as capital adequacy in banks and its relationship with financial and operational variables. He currently leads the Banking, Insurance, and Customs Unit at the Faculty of Management, Kharazmi University.
